Game Flow

In this game, the story will progress as you clear Missions (battle stages).

Playable Characters

You'll gain more party members as you progress through the game.

Players can have a maximum of 4 characters, known as Units*, in their party and deploy them for Missions.

During Missions, you'll control one Unit at a time. The other Units will act independently.

You can also switch between Units during battle.

*Depending on the Mission, the number of Units you can deploy may be limited.

Missions

When starting a Mission, a main objective will appear.
If there are multiple main objectives during a Mission, the next main objective will be shown once you clear the current one.
Missions are completed once you clear all main objectives.

There are also sub objectives available during Missions. While optional, completing these will net you additional items or experience.

Example:

Main Objective

Collect 4 【Herbs】!
This is a collection-type objective. The objective will be cleared once you collect 4 herbs on the battlefield.
Defeat 1 【Uzurusha Commander】!
This is a Battle Mission. The objective will be cleared once you defeat 1 Uzurusha Commander on the battlefield.

Sub Objective

Defeat 30 【Gigiri】!
This is a Battle Mission. The objective will be cleared once you defeat 30 Gigiri on the battlefield.
Defeat 10 【Iara-Orkes】!
This is a Battle Mission. The objective will be cleared once you defeat 10 Iara-Orkes on the battlefield.

Unit Abilities

Unit Abilities are unique special effects that each Unit possesses.

Some of these effects are triggered continuously during Missions. Others take effect after certain conditions are met.

By growing your parameters, various characteristics of these effects will be strengthened.

Example:

Haku's Unit Ability
Haku's Unit Ability, Law of the Lords, will reduce the amount of damage he receives.
By leveling up this ability, the amount of damage he receives will further decrease.
Kuon's Unit Ability
Kuon's Unit Ability, Unyielding, will increase her ATK after she receives a certain amount of damage.
By leveling up this ability, her ATK will further increase.

Sigil Effects

Sigil Effects are connected to Spirit Levels and bestow strengthening effects to the entire party.

A Sigil Effect's contents will change depending on the Strategy Scroll equipped.

Example:

Fire Sigil
Boosts entire party's ATK. During Overzeal, ATK is boosted even more.
By raising the Spirit Level, you can further increase these effects.
Water Sigil
Boosts entire party's DEF and increases the time of Enhancement effects.
By raising the Spirit Level, you can further increase these effects.

Normal Attacks

Normal Attacks are combo attacks with little time in between strikes.

While their ATK is rather low compared to Chains, they're great for starting combos or gaining Zeal.

Chains

Chains are skills unique to each Unit, and new ones are added by completing certain Missions. Chains consume Zeal and have high ATK and buff effects. They also have various other effects, such as targeting a wider range of enemies or strengthening a Unit for a certain amount of time.

Special Attacks

When you trigger Special Attacks with combos, they become longer combo attacks unique to the Unit. If they connect from normal attacks, they'll become one-off variations of that attack.

Compared to Normal Attacks, Special Attacks allow you to perform stronger attacks unique to the Unit, such as long-range attacks. However, because the Zeal recovered is minimal, it's best to use them in tandem with normal attacks and dodges.

Example:

Haku's Special Attack
He swings around his steel fan to lure enemies into a close range and blows them away at the end.
Kuon's Special Attack
She throws her knife to deal a long-range piercing attack.

Final Strikes

Units will learn this ability after reaching a certain level.

By maxing out your Zeal* via defeating enemies, you can trigger a Final Strike. Each Final Strike is unique to each Unit, such as dealing an incredible amount of damage to enemies, or healing yourself and your allies.

*Zeal is indicated by the light blue gauge on the bottom left of the screen.

Equipment Upgrade

You can use Sen obtained during Missions to acquire various items, such as Scrolls, Outfits, and Strategy Scrolls.

There are also Standard-Quality, Mid-Quality, and High-Quality types in Equipment Upgrade.
From here, various types of equipment can be obtained.

You can upgrade equipment one at a time, or even 10 times at once.

Free Missions

There are Free Missions available that you can play outside of the main story.

Many of these Missions provide the opportunity to acquire Sen and Bonus Points (BP),
which are required to strengthen a Unit's stats.

Different types of Free Missions will become available as you progress through the main story.

Military Medals

By meeting certain conditions in the game, you'll be able to acquire items, such as BGMs you can set during Missions, and colorful Outfits you can equip for your Units.
